We all have a dream. Some dream of a life full of luxuries. Others dream of saving lives and changing the world. For many there is simply a dream of finding love. We long for exhilarating fantasies and fantasize about the intriguing. What if any of these dreams are possible to attain? The dream life paradigm is real.
Forget easy dreams. Anyone can graduate from college. Anyone can work for someone and have a secure job. Anyone can get married and have kids. These are all great to have, but there is potential for so much more. What if you could make the big dreams come true? To retire at 30 and travel the world. To find lasting happiness and fulfilling relationships. To change the world and change lives.
These dreams are all possible, and they are possible for each and every person on this planet. Humans think in terms of scale. We fear large goals because that is how they appear to us, massive and out of reach. But size does not matter. The only difference between $1,000 and $1,000,000 is three extra zeros. The only difference between $1,000,000 and $1,000,000,000 is another three zeros. Our minds create thee differences, and in turn the fears from attainment are what limit us from accomplishing our true internal passions.
It might take more time to reach the larger dreams, but time only exists in our minds. The world always goes on, every person continues to roll forward in the state of the present moment. Our own present moment is all that exists and we can use that moment to create our dreams for ourselves. You can do anything once you believe you can do anything, and there are a few tricks we can use to find these dreams we all long for.
Do’s to Living your Dream Life
Believe that anything is possible
It really is. If one cannot get past this first idea, then the rest do not matter. If you do not truly believe that you can achieve whatever it is that you dream of, whatever it is that you lust and desire each and every day, then you will never be able to manifest it into your life. That simple. Without confidence and belief in ourselves, we limit our potential and success
Visualize your dream in your mind
What do you see? What do you smell, taste, hear and feel? How do your emotions express themselves having accomplished your dream? Leave out no detail no matter how small or insignificant. The better we visualize what it is we desire, the better the end goal we have to draw strength from while creating our dream life.
Write down your dream
This helps in many ways. Writing helps us to remember. Writing fortifies ideas and reinforces neurological connections. By writing something on a piece of paper, it is now real. You are taking an idea and turning it into a physical object. This is a crucial step in creation.
Whatever your dream is, you should be wildly passionate about it. If you are not, then it is not your real dream. We have moments that I like to refer to as flow state. When we are in flow state, everything is natural, everything is easy and everything happens without hesitation. This is the state that real dreams are created, and when you are passionate about your dream you will flow, no matter how difficult times get.
Share you dream with everyone
The more you share your passions and your ambitions, the more like-minded people you will begin to attract into your life. These are people who will be your real friends. People who will build their dreams with yours. People who you will count on to help you reach your dreams, just as they will count on you to reach their own. If your dream is to retire at 35 and travel the world to help impoverished countries, then why are you hanging out with people who party every night and limit your success.
We all fail. It is a part of life. I have failed at least 100 times by now. But I never look at failure as failure. Failure is a chance to grow as a person and learn how to be better. Failure is the best form of criticism and we can use it to thrive in our lives.
Don’ts to Living Your Dream Life
Limits are the end of us. If you limit your salary at $100,000 a year, then that is what you will make. If you tell yourself you cannot retire until you are 65, then you will not retire until then. If you limit your dream in any kind of way, then you will not reach the final chapter in your own story.
Fear is not real. Fear only exists in this world because our minds make it exist. We can choose to fear action or change, or we can learn to take those fears and turn them into strengths and allies. So instead of creating fear, create a new skill for yourself buy conquering whatever it is that you fear.
Hesitation can cripple us. Yes, a good plan of action is often necessary to succeed. But it is easy to get stuck in the state of over planning. Then we put off action until our plan is “perfect.” But perfect does not exist either. So why put something off because of a concept that is not real?
Our minds are our greatest strength, but also a weakness. We can let a single thought empower our lives or ruin our future. We always can be aware of what we are thinking and use our thoughts to better our lives. But sometimes a thought turns into a doubt, which turns in to worry, which turns into fear, which leads to inaction. This pathway must be avoided. We do this by over-thinking, and we counter this be knowing that a thought is created from us, and only exists internally. We can remove them from our lives forever simply by choosing to.
You could have 100 great ideas, but without acting on one them you will never make progress. The same goes with your dreams. The longer you wait to create your dream the longer it will take to reach. Hesitation is limiting, and we are persons’ full of limitless potential with massive dreams. There is no room for hesitation in our lives.
Our dreams can be real. All it takes is action. Any person can achieve anything, and anyone who tells you differently is simply fearful that they might not be able to do it themselves. The choice to live your dream life is yours.
